One Heritage Tower, Salford
This is one of many tall concrete framed residential towers DP Squared has designed. The development consists of:
- Single storey basement private car park with storage and plant areas.
- Ground level commercial units and amenity areas
- 55 storey tower
- 14 storey tower linked to the 55-storey tower
- External public pedestrian access to the Irwell riverside between the two towers
As with all tall buildings special attention was paid in the preliminary design phases to the wind loading on the tower and structural stability. A wind load model was constructed by RWDI for tests, with the results being used to help us design an efficient structural stability strategy for the building.
